Rhino SPF (Spray Polyurethane Foam)

Rhino ® SPF (Spray Polyurethane Foam) 2.5, 2.8 and 3.0 are HFC-blown, Zero Ozone-Depleting (Zero-ODP), closed-cell spray polyurethane foam systems. These systems improve energy efficiency and offer both a low lifecycle cost and environmental impact with almost no maintenance.

Rhino 2.5, 2.8 and 3.0 are part of a technically advanced SPF system intended for use by qualified contractors trained in the processing and application of SPF roofing systems as well as the plural-component polyurethane dispensing equipment.

Rhino SPF roof systems carry a UL790, Class A rating and UL723-ASTM E-84 Certification; a Compressive Strength of 40-50; a Tensile Strength of 60-80; and an R-value of 6.2 per inch.

Not Recommended For:

• Rhino SPF is NOT designed for use as an INTERIOR insulation system

• Cold-storage structures, such as refrigerators and freezers demand special design considerations with regard to thermal insulation and moisture-vapor drive. Rhino SPF should NOT be installed in these types of constructions unless the structure was designed by a design professional for specific use as cold storage

• Rhino SPF is neither tested nor represented as suitable for medical or pharmaceutical uses

• Rhino SPF insulation is combustible. High-intensity heat sources such as welding or cutting torches must not be used in contact with or in close proximity to Rhino SPF or any polyurethane foam.

Ambient Temperature Ranges

Rhino SPF 2.5 is available in several reactivity “grades: Summer (S), Fall (F) and Winter (W). Some suggested ambient temperature ranges for each of the reactivity grades are included below. Ultimately, the experience of the applicator should determine which reactivity grade is best suited for any specific combination of substrate (composition, location, color, etc.) and ambient conditions. The temperature ranges below are only meant as general application suggestions.

°Summer Grade: 85 – 100     °Fall Grade: 65 – 95     °Winter Grade: 50 – 70 °F
